Joe Richard

Joe Richard of Quispamsis has been a dedicated hockey administrator provincially and nationally for nearly 40 years. He has served on the boards of many associations, starting with minor hockey in Chatham. A former zone director and chair of the New Brunswick Amateur Hockey Association, Richard was the executive vice-chairman and an officer of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association. A co-founder and governor of the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Joe continues his involvement in the QMJHL as a governor of the Saint John Sea Dogs. He was also vice-chairman of the QMJHL board and a Canadian Hockey League board member. Richard is an inductee of the Miramichi Sports Wall of Fame and the Saint Thomas University Sports Wall of Fame and a CAHA Volunteer of the Year.
